Pediatric dentists provide the best pediatric treatment.

Children are not just small adults. During a dental exam, they are not always compliant and patient. Pediatric dentists are trained to assess and treat youngsters in a manner that minimizes discomfort. Additionally, pediatric dentists utilize specialized equipment in facilities that are developed with children in mind.

A pediatric dentist offers a wide range of treatment options, expertise, and training to care for your child’s teeth, gums, and mouth. When your pediatrician suggests that your child receive a dental exam, you can be assured that a dentist that is expert in pediatric dentistry will provide the best care.

What is a Pediatric Dentist?

Pediatric dentists are devoted to the oral health of infants through adolescents. They have the experience and credentials necessary to care for a child’s teeth, gums, and mouth throughout childhood’s many phases.

Baby teeth start to erupt in youngsters throughout the first six months of life. At the age of 6 or 7, they start to lose their first set of teeth, which are eventually replaced by secondary, permanent teeth.

Without proper dental care, children are susceptible to oral illness and decay, which can cause a lifetime of discomfort and consequences. Early childhood dental caries, which is an infectious disease, affects five times as many children as asthma and seven times as many as hay fever. One in every five (20%) youngsters aged 5 to 11 years has at least one untreated decaying tooth.

What kind of training do pediatric dentists have?

Pediatric dentists have completed at least:

  • Four years of dental school
  • Additional two years of dental residency training for newborns, children, adolescents, and children with special needs.

What types of treatments do pediatric dentists provide?

Pediatric dentists offer comprehensive oral health treatment, which consists of the following:

  • Exams of infant dental health, including risk assessment for caries in the mother and child
  • Preventive dental care, including cleaning and fluoride treatments, as well as dietary and nutrition advice
  • Behavioral counseling (for example, pacifier use and thumb sucking)
  • Early evaluation and treatment for dental alignment and correction of an incorrect bite (orthodontics)
  • Repair of tooth cavities or defects
  • Diagnosis of oral conditions related to disorders such as diabetes, congenital heart defects, asthma, hay fever, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Gum disorders and conditions such as ulcers, short frenulum, mucoceles, and pediatric periodontal disease are treated
  • Dental injury therapy (for example, fractured, displaced, or knocked-out teeth)

My son loves that office because of TV, treasure box and the nice. I am just glad as a mother that my kid is not afraid of the dentist. I personally love the fact that the office is always clean at all my visits. I recommend her to all my friends and family. I trust her as a dentist.
